Stephen Wangaji is a seasoned governance, leadership, and institutional development professional with over fifteen years of senior management experience spanning public institutions, corporate organizations, agriculture, and civil society. His career is anchored on strengthening corporate governance, designing public participation frameworks, and protecting institutions during periods of heightened public scrutiny.

He served as Chief Manager for Public Relations and Communication at Kenya's Office of the Controller of Budget — the constitutional body charged with oversight of national and county public expenditure. There, he built communication systems that safeguard fiscal accountability and translate complex public-finance frameworks for citizens, parliament, and the media.

Today, as Board Secretary of the Centre for Corporate Governance Alumni Network and a doctoral candidate in Social Transformation at Tangaza University, Stephen brings the same discipline to corporate boards, public agencies, and civil society leadership.
